Finally, the times they are a changing. After 20 years of using the same form for coop sales and purchases with the additional pages of seller and purchaser riders, we finally have a new form of contract of sale!! Linked below for your review and usage is an article from the current issue of the New York State Bar Association’s N.Y. Real Property Law Journal. The article discusses all of the substantive changes to the new and updated form of contract for cooperative sales and purchases. The form needed to make its way through the City Bar and State Bar approval processes, and was somewhat delayed due to the pandemic, but we are glad that it may now be used by the real estate community.
